ABEOKUTA– In what appears to be a last minute ditch to save their colleagues jobs, some commissioners under the Gov. Dapo Abiodun’s administration on Sunday went into a close door meeting where issues arising from a story on the imminent cabinet shake up were discussed.
In the said meeting, the Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Waheed Odusile was single out for ‘bashing’ from his colleagues who questioned his ability at manning the information sector in the state.
Although from the said story, names of would be affected Commissioners were highlighted, it was however a case for the information manager in the cabinet to face the wrath of his colleagues who asked how the said information ever leaked to the press.
it was also gathered that they resolved to issue a rejoinder on Monday, with the purpose of asking The Encounter News to substantiate the issues raised in the said exclusive story.
The News Ville also gathered that efforts were being channeled to compel the publisher of Encounter News, Mr Micheal Azeez-Ogunsiji, the writer of the story to pull it down.
Feelers from the inner circle among the cabinet suggests that there is panic in the air, as the commissioners are not loosing sleep on saving their jobs and have resulted in doing everything possible to achieve the goal.
It was gathered that some political gladiators who were eased out of the cabinet during inauguration have also started scheming to replace the would be ‘Sacked’ Commissioners.
The News Ville promises to keep you abreast of the development as they unfolds
