In a bid to ward off any potential treat of Coronavirus in the school, the management of St Christophers Nursery and Primary School, Oke Mosan has placed a mandatory handwashing points at the school premises.
The handwashing exercise is in total compliance with the directives of the proprietress who said personal hygiene should henceforth be scaled up as a way of protecting its staff and pupils from the dreaded novel coronvirus.
Speaking with our reporter, the school human resources manager, Mrs Mercy Okon said the school took the precaution in order to protect the school against the recent outbreak of Coronavirus.
In her words, Mrs Okon said “because of the virus outside now, we have to tell the children to always wash theirs hands and also teach some of them how to wash appropriately”
“We have set up different hand washing points in the school premises for use by our parents, staff and visitors. The children points are in their different classes and it is mandatory for them to wash at hourly intervals”
“It is therefore mandatory for our parents or visitors to wash their hands at the gate point before they deliver their kids to the school in the morning and before they can access their wards after school”
“All these precautions is a directive from the proprietress which is in accordance, and it is to prevent us all against the dreaded novel coronvirus” she concludes
