Asuquo Ekpenyong Nominated Delegate To ECOWAS Parliament

ABUJA– The Senator representing Cross River South at the National Assembly, Sen. Asuquo Ekpenyong has been nominated as member and delegate to the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS) Parliament.

In letter issued by the Clerk to the National Assembly, the ECOWAS Parliament will be inaugurated on March 8th, 2024, adding that its term concurrent with senate term of office.

The letter further reads, “I have the pleasure to inform you that His Excellency,the President of The Senate has nominated you as a Member/Delegate to ECOWAS Parliament.

“The Headquarters of the ECOWAS Parliament is at Abuja,International Conference Centre, Garki, Abuja.

“The term at the ECOWAS Parliament shall run concurrently with your term in the Senate.

“The ECOWAS Parliament would be inaugurated on 8th March, 2024.

“Therefore, you are kindly requested to submit a copy of your Curriculum Vitae on or before 1st March, 2024, to the Directorate of Inter parliamentary Relations and Protocol for onward submission to the ECOWAS Parliament for further action.

“May I also inform you that Management has made adequate arrangement to collect all relevant documents for you”.
