ABEOKUTA– Foremost music promoter, Chief Aremu Bamgboye has emerged the President of Anglican High School, Quarry, Abeokuta alumni association set of 1995-1996.
Bamgboye led exco also includes, Mrs Folashade Jolaosho as the Vice president, Mrs Modupe Olusanya will serve as the General Secretary while Mrs Ibidun Adeshina is the Treasurer.
Others are, Mrs Olawunmi Adeleye as the Financial Secretary, Mrs Kabirat Ilebiyi, the Assistance Secretary, Mrs Motunrayo Adebayo as Welfare 1, Mr Siji Oyenola is the Welfare 2, while Mr Wole Balogun is the PRO and Mr Idowu Ogunwuyi will serve as Auditor.
In his acceptance speech, Bamgboye thanked members of the alumni for the confidence repose in him to serve as it’s President, saying that he will bring his wealth of experience in the social sector to bear.
“I want to appreciate this great team for the confidence repose in me to be president. I promise to make the best of this opportunity to serve.
“I see this as more work for the school that made us who we are today. I see this as more commitment to humanity and I promise on behalf of this exco to make you proud”, he added
Meanwhile, the new principal of the school, Mrs Okukoya lauded the set for it’s contributions towards the uplighting of the school, adding that to whom much is given, much is therefore expected.
“Last year you people gave us something. This year, you guys have done something again. It is not easy to bring out something even at this challenging times. So, we really appreciate you”, she said
