ABEOKUTA– The Ijebu Distinct Social Club has commended the Nigeria Police Force on the arrest of notorious cultists, TJ Ijebu and Habib Okedara in Ijebu area of Ogun state.
The group in its commendation statement signed by its President, Ogunsanya Abdulrasaq, said the arrest of the duo came as a relief to the residents of Ijebu and it’s environs, while calling for speedy prosecution.
“The attention of the Ijebu Distinct social club has been drawn to the arrest of some notorious cultists in Ogun State. It will be recalled on 2nd April 2024,we wrote to the IGP calling on him to apprehend and prosecute some of the known notorious cultists and financiers of cult killings in Ogun State .
“The news of the arrest of TJ Ijebu and Habib Okedara ( a known dreaded cultist with viral pictorial evidence of illegal possession of fire arm ) came to us with happiness and joy. This arrest is a testimony to the proactive nature of the Nigerian Police Force Ogun State Command under the leadership of Cp Abiodun Alamutu .
“We are calling on the police to intensify efforts at arresting other financiers of cult killings in Ogun State which includes Akibu Titilayo ( Efele ), Akintunde Sunday (scatter ), and Elewide Taiwo Akile (Champion ) among others who are said to be sponsors of cult killings in ogun state.
“Informations at our disposal reveals they have always boasted to be in government hence above the law, a claim we know is aimed at tarnishing the good image of our peace loving, and respected Omoba Dapo Abiodun.
“We are calling on the Governor to allow justice to take its full course. Anyone who has been indicted or culpable in cult killings and sponsoring of cult killings should be made to face the full wrath of the law without bias for posterity purpose”, the statement reads
