ABEOKUTA– Leaders of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in the South West region of the country will storm Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital for it’s Zonal meeting.
This was contained in a press statement made available to The News Ville and signed by the Ogun state council chairman, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju and its Secretary, Comrade Bunmi Adigun on Wednesday
The Southwest Zonal meeting which will begin from Thursday, 8th through 10th of June, 2023 will also have a former Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Environment and Special Duties in Ogun State, Senator Lanre Tejuoso, Pro Chancellor and Chairman Governing Board of the University of Lagos deliver a lecture on ‘The Nigeria Health Sector : Challenges before the new Government’.
Highpoint of the event will be the decoration of the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR CON as the Grand Patron of the Union.
The meeting which will attract delegates from Osun, Ondo, Oyo, Ekiti, Lagos and the host Ogun States will also take a tour of major projects of the current administration in Ogun State such as the Agro Cargo Airport, Housing Projects, Road Infrastructure, Health Facility and many other landmark achievements of the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration.
The Zonal meeting is to cross fertilize ideas as the fourth estate of the realm and speak to power on what is needed to be done by the Southwestern Govenors as they begin another term.
