ABEOKUTA– Popular music promoter, Chief Aremu Bamgboye and his American returnee wife Thursday donated some cash amount to the Journalists Mosque under construction at the Iwe Iroyin, Oke Ilewo Abeokuta.
Chief Bamgboye said he decided to bring his American wife to the popular ‘Iya Bonke’ food canteen to have a feel of the local delicious food when they sighted the construction.
Moved by act of kindness and doing God’s deed, they both beckon on the committee in charge of the construction to donate their widow’s mite.
“This was not a planned donation, so it might be small. We actually came here to eat but I always wants to contribute my small quota to anything that has God name involved.
“Please, don’t forget to call on me when the mosque is ready as I will be willing to not only contribute but to also worship here” Chief Bamgboye stated
Receiving the donation, a member of the committee, Akanmu appreciated the kind gesture, adding that the donor has demonstrated good heart of a giver.
“This is a surprise to us. We can only thank you and pray that God will reward you in multiple folds” Aremu said
