ABEOKUTA– The Lanre Mosaku Movement (LAMM) has officially launched its operations in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
The official launch held at the Olowu of Owu’s palace has in attendance several beneficiaries of the empowerment programmes of the group.
The Olowu of Owu, Oba (Prof) Saka Matemilola in his remarks lauded the converner’s charitable spirit, saying that it is an act of service to God, and humanity.
He however called on other well meaning indigenes of the community to toll same line, adding that this will make the society a better place to live.
The convener, Hon. Lanre Mosaku in his speech, reiterates his commitment to touching the lives of the less privileged in the society, noting that an helping hand can safe the society from social vices.
“LAMM is built on the principles of compassion and service, aiming to create a society where every life matters and each dream is attainable. We believe in the power of unity, that together we can tackle challenges meaningfully.
“Our first initiative focuses on advancing education in Nigeria. We will launch programs designed to enhance educational quality, believing that a well-educated population is the cornerstone of a thriving nation. We also strive to preserve our traditional values, fostering pride in our heritage.
“We are committed to advocating for the rights of children, women, and the physically challenged, promoting an inclusive society where everyone can contribute to our collective prosperity. This movement will serve as a platform for diverse voices, encouraging dialogue and collaboration across communities.
“Grassroots politics is the bedrock of democracy, and we will foster active citizenship and community involvement, recognizing that change starts at home. Our future vision includes nurturing informed, compassionate youth leaders equipped to navigate the political landscape with transparency and empathy”, he said
The former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Titi Oseni described Mosaku as a man who believed in making other people smile,stressing that the movement has laid a foundation to better the lives of the people through economic empowerment.
The guest speaker, the Police Spokesperson, Ogun state Command, CSP Omolola Odutola speaking on the title “Building A Legacy Of Hope”, charged the people to be confident of themselves at all time, while been security conscious.
