CALABAR– The Senator representing Cross River South, Sen. Asuquo Ekpenyong has donated food stuff to over 500 constituents, just as the nation grasp with the effect of hardship.
Sen. Ekpenyong said the food material is to relieve families facing food insecurity during the yuletide season.
“In collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs & Poverty Alleviation, I initiated the distribution of essential food items ( 25kg bag of Rice, Beans, Garri and Maize) to over 500 Constituents in the Southern Senatorial District of Cross River State.
“This effort is aimed at providing much-needed relief to families and individuals facing food insecurity in our communities.
“We remain committed to addressing the immediate needs of our people and ensuring no one is left behind. By providing these food items, we hope to alleviate hunger and support households during these challenging times”, he said
