ABEOKUTA– Wasiu Adebanjo Ajirotutu has declared his intention to contest for Senate Under the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), in Ogun State in 2023.
He stated this while addressing members of the party at the state secretariat in Abeokuta.
The aspirant in his declaration speech charged the youths to challenge the older generation by contesting for positions in the forthcoming general elections in 2023.
“We are the youth of today not tomorrow. They have promised us that we are youth of tomorrow, but as we can all see we are being deceived.
“I believe this is our time to take over. We are tired of all these old politicians. They are traitors.”
The NNPP National Assembly aspirant however noted that the party does not believe in godfather or have any in its operation.
“We don’t have godfather in NNPP, God is our father. I am sure I am going to take over come 2023.
“We have been deceived for long, it is important we don’t get carried away with their adage.”
On his ambition, Ajirotutu said, “I am not a useless youth and I believe I have the Power, energy to do it. By the Special grace of God.
“All these old politicians should go and resign.”
In his remarks, the NNPP chairman in the State, Comrade Oginni Olaposi expressed the party’s readiness to support the Senatorial ambition of Ajirotutu.
“We are today as a party ready to support your aspiration because you are one of the people Nigeria has been yearning for. The youth taking over the affair of the country.
“Ogun NNPP is ready to champion the call in ensuring our youth take the lead. We are out to make young to run to rule a reality. We are ready to offer our platform to our youth in 2023.
He noted that, Wasiu is the Southwest coordinator for NNPP Kwankwaso Support Group.
He added: “It is of interest to tell the whole world, we are not joking, we are ready to take one. we are urging our youth to come out to support us and also express their ambition.
“Enough for all the deceit by APC and PDP shenanigans.
“We know he is capable and has the capacity to make Ogun east people happier and better than the shenanigans of APC and PDP. Vote NNPP in the coming election.”
