ABUJA– Some exited NPower beneficiaries has floated a yet to be registered political party, Npower Youth Congress (NYC) across the country to wrestle power from the ruling APC come 2023.
The Political Party which is presently being coordinated via WhatsApp groups, and other social media handles have seen growing membership across all states of the federation.
One of the members who spoke with The News Ville said it has become apparent that the present crop of leaders have nothing to offer the youths, hence the need to come together and forge a united group.
“They have always promised everything before elections but then they always fail. Look at us, 500,000 of us were promised permanency during the last electioneering, but now they have sent us back to the street after giving our all to serve the nation for 2 and 4 years”
“We cannot continue like this. We must take our destinies into our hands by being involved. So, come 2023 we are going to present youths among us into all elective positions across the country”
“We have the numbers, so politically, we are a force to reckon with. If you have youths come together, nothing can stop us” one of the beneficiary said
Recall that just recently about 500,000 Npower beneficiaries were exited from the Social Intervention program of the Buhari’s administration after several promises to them before the elections in 2019.
