ABEOKUTA– Counsel to Engr, Dada Kolawole Oduntan, one of the Ogun Central Senatorial district under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Barr Abiodun Aboaba Esq, has refuted claims making rounds that Olumide Aderinokun was declared the authentic candidate by the court.
In his swift reaction, Aboaba stated that contrary to the media reports, the PDP in Ogun state has no candidate in Ogun central, adding that the court only struck out their case on the ground that the process was not signed by a legal practitioner.
He further explained that the Federal High Court on 28th September, 2022 had nullified all primary elections in Ogun State, which according to him included Aderinokun who was joined as a party in the suit.
“Contrary to false media report that the Federal High Court in the suit instituted by Dada Kolawole Oduntan held that David Aderinokun has no case to answer, the Court never ruled that Aderinokun is the authentic candidate of the PDP in Ogun Central.
“Indeed, the Federal High Court on 28th September, 2022 nullified all primary elections in Ogun State including Aderinokun who was joined as a party. Based on the current state of affairs, PDP has no candidate in Ogun Central”, Aboaba stated
Explaining further, a member of DKO team however said that their process was signed by a legal practitioner, adding that the seal of the said legal practitioner was affixed to the process.
“The judgment cannot stand the scrutiny of the appellate court. We will definitely appeal the Ruling”, he added
