ABEOKUTA– The Olu of Imasayi, HRM Oba Lukman Adeleke Kuoye Rtn has congratulated the Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun on his supreme court victory.
The monarch in his congratulatory message made available to newsmen by his Media Consultant, Hakeem Adegbenro added that the victory is an affirmation of the will of the people.
He noted that now that the storm is over, the governor should hit the ground running just as his first term and deliver the dividend of democracy to Ogun indigene.
“I want to congratulate the Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele on this victory at the supreme court today in Abuja.
“This victory is the people’s victory and a clear affirmation that God is indeed with our governor.
“I congratulate the good people of Ogun state on his victory. Now that the storm is over, let us join hand with the government to see the Ogun state of our dream.
The Supreme Court affirmed the election of Governor Adedapo Abiodun of Ogun State, in Abuja on Friday
A five-member panel of the court, in a unanimous judgment a moment ago, dismissed the appeal by Oladipupo Adebutu, who was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last governorship election in Ogun State.
Justice Tijjani Abubakar, who read the lead judgment, held that Adebutu and his party failed to prove their case.
Justice Abubakar resolved all the issues raised for determination against the appellants and held that the appeal was without merit.
