ABEOKUTA– The 20 Local Government Caretaker Chairmen have been appointed as Director Generals of their respective Local Government for the forthcoming Local Government Elections.
The appointment, which was announced by the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun at a stakeholders meeting held at the Presidential lodge, Abeokuta means all existing commitees set up by the various party leaders stand dissolved.
The governor appreciated all the 20 LG Transition Committee Chairmen for their impactful stewardship in the last seventeen(17) months, adding that it is time to consolidate their gains by making sure the party comes out successful at the polls
Governor Abiodun directed the Transition commitee Chairmen to see to the logistics needed and reconcilliation of the aggrieved party members in their Local Government ahead of July 24 Local Government Elections.
He also congratulate the candidates on their emergence at the grassroots level with a charge for them to be good ambassadors of the party, as they get set for Local Government Campaign Tour which will see them visit all the LGAs in the State.
