ABEOKUTA- Barely two weeks after concluding the Security and Safety Cup, the Ogun chapter of the Sports writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) will from March 24 – 31st, 2022 host a five-a-side football tourney for all practicing journalists in the state.
The competition aimed at fostering unity among the 11 chapels that made up the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), in the state will hold at the Fun Turf of the MKO International Stadium Kuto Abeokuta.
In a press statement made available to The News Ville by the Association Secretary, Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji, he stated that the competition is being sponsored by popular fast-rising eatery outlet, Opulent Hub.
“Plans have been concluded on the maiden SWAN Media Cup for journalists in Ogun State.
“All media stations in Ogun state and chapels under the umbrella of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council are expected to participate in the two-week event”, he added
Ogunsiji therefore, urged all media stations and NUJ Chapels to endeavour to participate in the unification game.
