PLATEAU– Comptroller of Customs Awo Chinyere Angeline has successfully graduated from the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, as a participant in the Senior Executive Course 46, 2024.
A seasoned customs officer with an impressive career spanning over three decades, Comptroller Awo was nominated by the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Abuja, in recognition of her outstanding service and leadership. Rising through the ranks since her enlistment in 1991, she attained the rank of Comptroller of Customs in 2022, demonstrating unwavering dedication to national service.

A distinguished professional, she holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Pure Chemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She has attended various international training and conferences, including workshops organized by the World Customs Organization (WCO), Bureau of Public Service Reform (BPSR), and the African Development Studies Course in Rwanda. Her professional exposure spans across the USA, UK, Netherlands, Germany, China, and Ghana, among others.
Comptroller Awo’s contributions to customs administration have earned her notable awards, including the WCO Certificate of Merit Award and the Exceptional Service to International Customs Community Award. She is also a member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations.
Beyond her professional commitments, she is a deep thinker who enjoys reading, writing, and reflection. A woman of strong spiritual conviction, she follows Eckankar – The Path of Spiritual Freedom, and believes that “All Life Exists Because of God’s Love.”
Her graduation from NIPSS, Kuru, marks yet another milestone in her distinguished career, further equipping her to contribute to national development and policy formulation.
