Ogun: Former Speaker, Oluomo Absent As Abiodun Presents 2025 Budget.

ABEOKUTA– Former speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Olakunle Oluomo was conspicuously absent at the hallow chamber of the assembly, Wednesday, just as Governor Dapo Abiodun presents the year 2025 Budget.

Oluomo, a member representing Ifo state constituency was impeached by 25 out of the 26 members of the house for gross misconduct, High-handeness , among others infractions.

Since his impeachment, Oluomo has been allegedly absent at state functions, an indication that his constituency may have lost quality representation at the state assembly.

A source at the assembly however confirmed that Oluomo has after his impeachment never returned to the hallow chamber, but was collecting all benefits acrued to him as a member of the house.

“He didn’t return to the assembly since he was impeached. But he has been collecting all his benefits, including the recent car allocation from the governor”, the source said

When our reporter sort to know the reason for his absence at the budget presentation, the impeached lawmaker phone were not reachable as at the time of filing this report.
