ABEOKUTA– A seventy year old man, Sikiru Olatunji has been declared missing in Wasinmi-Imasayi, in Yewa North Local Government area of Ogun state.
Pa Olatunji was said to have gone to the farm since Friday, the 7th of February, 2025, and was yet to return.

Speaking with the The News Ville, the Baale of Wasinmi-Imasayi, Chief Taiwo Akinola stated that all efforts to locate the whereabout of Pa. Olatunji has proved abortive.
He added that some forest security, and the community vigilantes have also combed the forest, all to no avail.
“On Friday, he told his family he was going to the farm. He was supposed to return by 12noon, but he didn’t.
“The case was reported to me by his wives. I then went to report the incident at Imasayi Divisional Police Headquarter, and instructed the community security to comb the forest.
“When we traced his land marks, we were able to find his cap, and his boot on the tree. But since then, we have not seen him.
“I have, however, reported the case to the police station at Imasayi and our monarch, the Olu of Imasayi”, he said
Meanwhile, the Olu of Imasayi, Oba Lukman Adeleke Kuoye while reacting to the incident, lament the rising cases of missing people in his domain, citing the influx of herdsmen around the corridor.
He, however, called on all security agencies to beef up their antenna to the communities where Fulani herdsmen turned to grazing zone, while seeking government intervention
“We have been talking about these people for a while now. I know that when our neighbours in Ibese protested against the herdsmen, the next destination will probably be our community.
“I totally condemned this, and I will only ask that government should come to our rescue”, the monarch said.
Efforts to reach the police command spokesperson, CSP Omolola Odutola proved abortive, as she has not responded to our reporter’s message as at the time of filing this report.
